It's what he lives for. It's been his dream since he was a little kid.

dont worry, he'll probably get cut at the second audition in August (you know there's a second audition right?)

2003-2007 I surely don't. I guarantee I saw more BECAUSE of Tiger Band than 98% of the student body at LSU. But to each his own.

I was just messing around guy. I was in tiger band in my LSU days. What HS did he go to? I'm from Mandeville too. What does he play?

Senior at Jesuit. Drum line captain but also plays clarinet, sax, and piano.

Auditioning for clarinet today but he's hoping to make it in the drum line...

should have told him to pick some tougher instruments to make it on

not many people in the band from jesuit. prob because they have a sort of small and weaker marching program. thought maybe he went to mandeville or fontainebleau. tiger band is filled with kids from those two.

but if he gets past this audition, tell him to start memorizing all the LSU songs for camp in August and be able to march and play them. clarinet is a tough instrument to make the band on and a ton of them get cut every year in august (like sometimes 20+)

Have to agree...If he doesn't make it on percussion, he better be the best woodwind player Jesuit ever produced...Linda is not a big fan of woodwinds on the field.
