Definitely over-application of the D. Don't feel dumb, I did the exact same thing to mine in the fall, and I should know WTF I'm doing. You may can salvage the grass that is yellowing, shoot some N and water the hell out of it. It may work. If not, just hang in there, you didn't kill it all and it'll spread back out. It may take a while, and the bullshite grass is gonna grow, just pluck the crabgrass and weeds by hand until your desired grass comes back.
Next time, use 1-2 oz of the D per gallon (**ETA of water) and 1% surfactant (about 1.25 oz/gallon of water). What happened to me, I doubled the rate because I thought my grass was dormant, well I guess it hadn't cooled down enough. I waited on a rain instead of watering, it didn't rain, and I burnt up most of my yard. So pump some water and nitrogen, you may save some of it.

I actually fertilized and watered really well a couple days ago to see if it'll help anything.

Yes
don't sweat it, if you are in the Baton Rouge area soil temps are still cool, the turf hasn't started growing good yet.

Yes. If you ever spray roundup, that sprayer should only be used for stuff that is meant to un-selectivly kill shite (round-up, diesel, any poison) and your 2-4D sprayer should be used just for 2-4D and other selective things. Wash out the selective sprayer VERY WELL after use. The round-up one doesn't matter. Of course you can get away with just one for everything, but you have to be very diligent about flushing fresh water though it .
To clean one, I usually put about 1/4 tank of water in it, spray that out, and then fill it up with water and spray that out, and then rinse it out good with water. Takes a while and might be overkill but I've never had problems with chemical doing what I didn't want it to do.

I have one roundup/general kill anything sprayer. I only wash it out so that the chemicals don't mess up the parts inside it.
Seperate one for ant poison/bug control. Don't have a need for selective herbicides but I would have a separate sprayer for that if I did.

So you'll think I'll be alright eventually?
Yes, I've had mine far worse from fungus a few years ago. By the fall bare areas had been re-filled by the St. Aug. runners.

I love Bermuda, especially when its alive and green.
It requires way less watering than st. Aug does.

Yea I could see that pissing some people off. I just always see bermuda in the pasture and wonder why people don't have it in their yards. Looks so good when the cows are munchin on it

Golf courses in the south are 99.9% bermuda. It takes a lot of maintenance.

What type of fertilizer did you use? Was it 13-13-13 or 9-9-9? Next year when your grass becomes dormant put down a pre emergent. This will help control weeds before they come out after winter. If you have bermuda grass growing in your yard, your safe. Round up will not kill it nor will 2-4D. If it is dying you have more problems than chemical. St. Aug is different. Round up will kill it. 24D will not.
