I poisoned with 2,4D a couple of weeks ago and since then it's been looking worse and worse... At first broadleafs were all dying then after that Bermuda and st. Aug started dying along with it.... It looks AWFUL. How do I fix this and what would've caused it??
A close up of one of the bad spots...
Left side was not sprayed, right side was.
St. Aug close up

Time to dig it up and plant more grass

Well shite. I was headed out to get some 2-4D for clover patches in a few minutes. Now I will reconsider.
PS: My yard looks turrible also. Clovers, winter rye growing, spots in my centipede, etc. I sodded the whole yard less than 2 years ago.

All I Sprayed was 2,4D and this is what I got now... I'd kill for clover at this point.

u rich folks just need to let nature take its course, mow it for a month or two and its all gone. never lose the green, may be clovers and crap but it will eventually die out on it's own.
sorry bout your lawn though my friend, sucks when you trying make something look nice and you get the complete opposite of that.

This is clearly white people problems.

What's happening? Over application I would assume. You probably still had a ton of dormant grass, hopefully a few weeks will show some life. Good luck.

yeah, probably the St. Aug. In my experience if it is too concentrated it will kill it. Did the same thing to mine trying to kill dollar weed.

nope, doesn't come back, I dug it up and put sod. Next time I would use the weed killer at like half of recommended dose if it says safe for St. Aug.

1. St Aug does not like 24D
2. When you kill weeds there will be a blank spot left where the weeds were until the turf grows over the spot
3. The left side that was not sprayed looks like poa annua(weed)
Spray the weeds before they get big next time. Keep watered properly and fertilize. With a little warm weather it will grow back.

I only looked at pics on phone, but looked like grass just dormant still. When I get home I'll check it out on computer
Remember, the weeds were shading out the grass. So you have to give the grass a chance to grow in.

I hope you're right,... I just dished it 10k on a new AC, I don't feel like having to lay sod down.

Just make sure if you use a sprayer that Round-up has been in previously that it is washed out very good.
You wouldn't believe how many idiots have done this and wondered why their yards died.

Judging by the grass on the left side of the sidewalk it is not dormant out is dead. It was definitely the 24d I would water it alot to get it out of the rootzone and maybe put dsome plugs in the bare spots
