It's about 6 years old.

Yeah I'll go ahead and say it's not as good as the current one is supposed to be. Granted I own neither, but based on current reviews.

I've driven em all, several times of each, (although 1 time around with the Dodge was enough) and by far the best and strongest gas engine has been the Yota Tundra. As someone said, it will pin u against the seat when you stomp on it and pulls a heavy load better than all the competition in that class. Interior is nothing to write home about, although at the time I bought mine the Crewmax had the most room of them all.

I don't work for, nor am I affiliated with Toyota in any way,, but I've bought and drove many trucks in my life, too many to count and the Tundra leads the pack. I usually get a new truck every few years, but with this one, I've kept for 5 years,,,,It's NEVER been in the shop!!
Whew, I'm tired now, need to lie back down, change my Depends, I'm done.

This is what I've come to notice with the Tundra.

IMHO, I believe Toyota is genius by marketing the Tundra in a size segment that it does not belong in. The Tundra matches better against a gas F250 or 2500 then it does against the F150/1500 models in terms of HP/Torque and interior size.

BUT with gas mileage comp or better. I get 18.5 on road, 4x4 with big tars, same as I got with Z71's , but with much, much more power!

And yet Toyota has to use a Chevrolet to tow its trailer.

Have you considered the 2014 Sierra? It looks 'tighter' than the old model if that makes sense. The truck is even better in person than in pictures IMO.

Here's a picture for all the Ford fans to criticize:

2013 Chevy is nothing to write home about. I've got one, it's OK.

Looks like maybe more "aerodynamic" side mirrors and a different color ?

Saw a new in person, looks pretty good.
The front reminds me of the F250.

Solid truck I would think.

I just don't think they pushed the envelope enough.

I would highly recommend the Ford. I just got a used FX2 and I cannot say enough good things about the truck. Very smooth. Very plush. Overall, probably the best car/truck purchase I have ever made.

I owned Acura Legend, Jeep Grand Cherokee, Toyota Highlander, Toyota Tundra, Dodge Durango, Toyota Camry.

I would call that a refresh, not a redesign.

Really wow, would not have expected that. Not thrilled with it? Why?

That is a diverse list. Let me guess, in terms of overall quality and ownership experience:

Excellent, Fair, Good, Excellent, Poor, Excellent.

(If the Tundra was 2nd gen, may downgrade)

My GMC 2500 duramax is paid for and runs great. I've always had GM vehicles since I started driving in 1993. I'm not planning on getting another truck any time soon, but when I do, it will probably be a Tundra. My brother in law has a 2012 and Choirboy has a 2013 so I'll keep up with how those do. That's in addition to OG's amazing review posted earlier.
