Tensas-Deer/Duck (Timber)
Lafouche-Ducks (Marsh)
St.Landry-Ducks (Rice)

And the old man just picked up a lease right next to the Golden Ranch in Raceland, La. Suppose to have a bunch of Red heads so I'll make a few hunts.

Waimea Canyon

I usually go for mountain goats, wild hogs, and some pheasants. I have a limited amount of hunting out here but I try to make do. I also do some trout fishing there.

I don't really have to worry about it, cause most of my places listed I have to get the invite. I have standing invitation to hunt whenever I want, but I don't abuse it, I wait for the call.

But if I could I would never leave the place in Concordia, it is my definition of paradise. It has absolute bruiser bucks, turkeys, and greenheads every january.

Mostly Concordia. The general vicinity of Madison/Tensas if invited. Rapides/Avoyelles if I have nothing better to do.

Monterey
Klondike
Big Branch
RR WMA

Possible adding ST. Francisville/Morganza to the list as well.

And I concur that Concordia is heaven, will one land there one day.

I have been on the stand there numerous times watching greenheads pile into ponds 100 yards away, with 5-6 deer under me at the same time. It is almost sickening

Duck or deer?

Me and a buddy hunted the impoundment last year for the first time, seems like that place has potential.

All over NWLA on WMAs, NWRs and other small tracts of state land. Pretty much bowhunt only for deer. Hopefully we have ducks to hunt.

Wick: If you want a good WMA to woodcock hunt in NWLA, lemme know. Last year I jumped several everytime walking to my stand in the morning.

Got lucky and became close friends with a farmer and we lease close to 2000 acres with just 3 members outside of Ferriday, Louisiana. Mainly deer hunt but have plenty of flooded timber holes. 8 point are better except for the kids but generally kill atleast 3 140 class are better deer between us. Won't give it up if I was offered free property in south Texas to deer hunt.

Normally don't make it that far north, but I'm always looking...

I am looking for a farmers daughter to get into a situation like this.

Hoping like hell I can convince my uncle to get some property in that area. There is some property in Clayton I wish he would jump on.

How'd the water level look when you scouted it?

Last year we just walked in and pulled a pirogue, but we could only get to the first few holes that way.

I want to bring my boat so I can get to the back, but not sure if it'll make it. 15' monark with a 40hp on a jackplate. I'm more worried about the trenasse width after that second man made pond.
