Since I'm relatively new on this board, I was just curious to where most of you guys hunt. Also, do you own or lease, how many acres and how many members. I'll start it off by saying I hunt in Bienville parish 7 mi West of Quitman, La. I hunt on a lease, 1700/ac with 17 members. Generally we shoot mostly 6- 8 pts but the genetics are not very good. Lucky to have a 140 class shot. While they might not have the biggest racks they're not short on weight. I've killed several over 225#'s Biggest I've shot is 115-120. To my dissatisfaction, not many turkeys which is what I love the most.

Pointe Coupee Parish out in the cane fields. Has a hunting club bordering it and I shoot whatever crosses the property line (No woods on our property). I do typically respect their shooting rules although they limit members to one doe and I usually shoot two.

ETA: Solid username. Bow hunters are welcome here

Duck/fishing camp in dularge/theriot.

5 members but not sure how many acres. Went fishing this week and saw a good bit of birds so were hoping for a pretty good duck season this year.

When I'm going down I-20 to a friend's house in Ruston I see those hardwoods and crop fields and always say, "I wish I had land here". I used to hunt some beautiful land in Jefferson County Miss, but it got way too expensive for me.

I've never duck hunted. I have a hard enough time hitting animals standing still! I was once told if you can't afford deer hunting don't think about duck hunting. I love some grilled duck breast though!

Cat island ((private land)(probably wont be able to hunt it this year)) and a small tract in pride that was just logged and is wide open. Needless to say, I'll probably be doin a lot more fishing come hunting season.

I've been trying to find a lease closer to N.O. where I can turkey hunt. The 5 hour drive from N.O to camp is getting rough. Thought I found a spot on my friends land near Abita Springs but he has less turkeys than us.
