2 boxes

I would hate to run out. Some days I shoot decent, others I strike out quite a bit.

I prefer takin' the amount of shells that fits in my shotgun when that lil popsicle stick is out, 5.

When I limit out, if they need some, I usually offer my buddies the extra 2 or 3 shells that is left in the chamber.

I bring a handful of 3" lead and shoot those first, then I have at least 2 boxes 3.5" heavy metal shells. But Im loaded with geese and stay late to hunt specks.

I generally bring more than you could possibly shoot and have a couple boxes left in the blind.

If my season is anything like last season, 1. Not 1 box...1 shell...for the season.

I always have my shell holder full and a few 3.5's laying in the bag just in case. Since everyone normally brings two boxes I am good if I run out.

When no expectations turns to ducks wanna play 50 yard barrier and life long hunters turn into having hunted 3 times ever, you find yourself needing more shells than you ever thought could be shot by one person. I've seen 4 man limits take literally hundreds of shells.

Box to box and a half usually, gotta account for some water swats on crips as well as any nutria or no-shoulder ops.

Those of you taking a boxes on boxes need to hit the range. I took a 12 year old shooting a 20 gage on the youth hunt two years ago. I shite you not the kid fired 6 shells, we strapped up his 6 ducks, and we went to the house. All killed in flight....some before I even called the shot
