Another vote for Bonine. Take it as directed. Not as your stepping on the boat.

Wray isn't the sharpest tool in the shed. If the trout limit goes below 15 not many people will be taking guided inshore trips.

Any specific reason or throwing shite against the wall? If anything go down to 20, but even that's silly after 1 mediocre season for some.

Who is this guy? I've never heard of him. Must be a shitty guide because we've been slamming them the past few weeks. Two days this week and two limits.

ditto. randy pausina (ldwf) said only one good recruitment yr every 4-5 yrs is needed to maintain the current 25-fish model

you seem angry. it's what i'd like to see. 15 trout per person is plenty of meat and 5 redfish aren't enough. I'd like to see the limit up to 8 with a reduction in size to 12"

Danny is a good dude and a good guide, which is why this surprised me.

almost every article by todd mason is about lowering the trout limit. but seriously, having one bad year and wanting to suspend trout fishing and lower the limit to 6? this aint florida...

I couldn't agree more. It's asinine. I'm not mad at the fish anymore and don't need to keep 25 fish on the rare occasion I get into them like that, but that doesn't mean you shouldn't be able to if the numbers show 25 is sustainable.

It sure would make a guide's job easier. But 6 fish? Talk about extreme measures for a seemingly non-existent problem.

Who would pay $400 to catch 6 trout?

It would put guides out of business.

On a related note, I can't see how the offshore guides are staying in business with the ridiculous limits.

they seem to be the ones that push for lower limits so they have a shorter/less expensive workday. don't expect a price reduction either with lower limits (which ain't gona happen anytime soon)

I have never been on an offshore trip. Some people just don't care what they catch though.

Bourgs- Last fall I caught over 400 fish during thanksgiving week. Not more than $50 in fuel. First w/e at the islands in spring we caught 4 fish and over $250 in fuel

if i'm paying for 8 hours i want 8 hours. even if i've limited out on trout/reds, i'm loading up on croaker (which is overlooked)
