I don't know about the bear-proof-ness of them or anything, but a friend had the Brute ice chest for the Tarpon Rodeo. I liked the latches a lot more than my K2 and Yeti. Other than that, they're really not all that different.

I have that K2 and it is awesome. Lightweight, holds ice and easy to clean. Smokes my yeti's chode.

ORCA. Made in USA and very high quality. I have the 26 liter and it's perfect for carrying meals when hunting or for a days worth of drinks at the camp. Www.Orcacoolers.com

This past weekend I examined most all the brands side by side in one place (Engel, K2, Grizzly). None of them seemed as a high quality as the Yeti as far as fit / finish. I did not like the K2 latches at all, ditto the handles on the Engel.

One man's opinion.

They're all roto molded with maybe a slight different latch design. What are you disagreeing about?

Go to ack.com, sign up for emails and promotions, receive a 20% off coupon on first item purchased, get a Yeti for pretty much the price of a K2. Free shipping to your door in 2-3 days.

Your welcome.

you said they are all the same but then:

I'll add that the hinges are different and weights are different as well as the shapes. When it comes to holding ice, yes, they function almost equally for all practical purposes.
