if it is "all over" and went away completely with Benadryl it is NOT shingles.

It sounds like an allergy of some sort.
soaps, lotions, foods, pets, etc. can all cause the reaction.

maybe a new lotion on the wife or on the kiddo? maybe something in your little girls room?

It popped up like a mosquito bite on the inside if my elbow and grew. It's a whelp about the size if a dollar there, all over my abs, down my back, on my knees. None on my lower legs or lower arms or neck.

FWIW allergies can arise from something you have been exposed to many times. Latex allergy is a example in healthcare workers.

My wife said she switched to Tide over a month ago. I know a lot of people are allergic to that, but can it take this long to arise and why only at night at the exact same time? Would that be a possibility.

I started a new job. Maybe something they clean with there.

You use any kinda towels or wear a jacket/jumpsuit for work that they handle as far as laundry? Maybe they changed detergents.

Take some more Benadryl tonight and go see your doc tomorrow. If at any point you feel short of breath or like your throat is tight go to urgent care or ER.

yes, and likely due to a contact on your bare arms about that time since you started the rash on your arms both times. Although honestly the majority of the time we cant figure out what you are reacting too unless it has happened enough times for you to connect the dots.

Y'all are my docs.

That's my plan for Friday if it comes back tomorrow. Just wanted to get a jump on them.

some people can develop an allergic reaction to certain insect bites and get diffuse allergic rashes after an initial bite. This is most common with fleas in adults and skeeters in kids.
