Worked with a fleet of 40 of them. We would have guys put 500 lbs in the bed and the truck would be squatting. Had to buy airbags to handle the loads the prior generation Rams would handle with ease

As far as bang for the buck goes i'm not seeing anywhere that a crew cab dodge with leather etc. is any cheaper than Ford, GMC or Toyota. If anything they're as high or higher.
What's the OB opinion of this truck at this price?

Eh...are you shopping legit quotes or just MSRP on websites? When I was shopping back in 2011, a Ram identical to mine (Sport crew cab) with leather and 4wd stickered at $42 or $44k. I know that was 4 years ago though...

But never mind that...that F150 looks really nice. Would definitely be worth a phone call.

I paid cash for my shite. I'm only buying for reliability now, not flash. The newest, most expensive truck isn't worth a god damn thing if it's in the shop (I learned that the hard way)

Toyota tundra here. Very good truck just don't do business with Supreme in Hammond--I cant trust their service department after a couple of really blatant attempts to screw me.

I have never had to lay a wrench on the truck. Battery lasted five years. The only time it has been in a service department for for oil changes and recalls.

I'm hoping I can do the same in about a year. Or at least have a substantial down payment.

I recently bought a Tundra Dbl Cab 4x4 w/ 5.7L V8 for $31,300. I believe it is the SR but has the work truck package which has vinyl floors rather than carpet along with the towing package. The seats are heavy duty vinyl, but everyone thinks it is leather when they see it. Has everything else you mention. Find someone who will haggle with you via email and be patient.

I just built up cash over the period of owning vehicles. I spent a shite ton on the last one, but was able to pay back loans with the sale money, and still had $14k to get this new truck. You've just got to shop around for a while and jump on good deals if they're local. 90% of the good deals are in TX though

I drove to Daphne with cash in my truck to go buy this 05 2500HD ext cab with 60k, and the mother fricker called and said he sold it when I was about to go through the tunnel. I was livid. Even told him I was coming with the cash and confirmed it when I was going through Gulfport

You can get a solid used truck if you shop around. Just expect to put a little money in it for stuff like worn joints and shocks and shite

68K on my 13 F150. Haven't had a single problem so far and will continue to buy the Ecoboost because I love the power and sound. Paint is chipping, but just on the painted front bumper( (tan). I honestly haven't seen any of the interior issues Bluemoons is talking about and I know several people with newer Fords.

My dad's 13 eco-bost straight turned off getting on the causeway once. Somehow, it fried it's own electrical system. I don't know the specifics, but he got it warrantied because he only had 98.6k

Soon I'll be adding a couple of custom tunes. Nothing too dramatic to blow my shite up, just to kinda get some more out of it and change my shift points up since my tires.

Supposedly changing out the intake and exhaust nets a good bit of power. That would be optimized by a tune

I paid just over $39k for a '13 that looks just like that, except mine didn't have the HID headlights or the polished 20" rims.

I bought the 7 yr, 125,000 mile warranty because with all of the little motors and shite on these new trucks, I figured it was better to be protected. I had also just put new shocks on my wife's escalade, which would have cost me $1,700 had I not had the warranty.

I freaking love my Ram ecodiesel. Laramie package. Came very close to buying a jacked up F150, but the sales manager was a dipshit. Went with Dodge and I love the truck

I'm happy with my Tundra. MPG isn't great but the small fuel tank makes it look way worse than it really is. Ram is a solid choice nowadays too, and the resale isn't the issue it used to be.

I've seen Leather seats in SR5s, usually on the TSS package trucks. Probably a dealer option though. If you find the truck you want but must have leather, $1000 will get you better than oem quality.

no shite huh? i got my silverado with 20k miles and loaded for about 22k in 2008

ou shopping legit quotes or just MSRP on websites?

all prices i've seen and linked to are about 8 or 9 off MSRP

they're still around there, i don't consider that low though but i haven't bought a truck in 7 years

i don't buy for reasons like this..

to be honest, if they could take some off the price by removing these options, i'd prefer them do it, i don't like flash

I'm not sure if you know ... but the size of the fuel tank doesn't affect the MPG
