I'll post a pic of the whips when I get a chance.

Man it was cold as shite this morning. The water temperature in our hole in la nana dropped 4.5 degrees overnight!

I still caught one just under 5 pounds on the whips however the small fish were just not in there this morning. We only caught two in there but both were over 3.5 pounds.

We're thawing out now. Prolly go fish deeper and stay in San Miguel this afternoon.

CFDoc I'll be there next week and my camp is in Lanan. Are ya'll fishin behind 191 bridge or areas further out toward the main lake? Sounds like ya'll are having better results closer to San Miguel and the state park? Can't wait to get up there next week. Good luck on the rest of your trip, rip some lips!

Tougher day today.

Pops only caught one keeper all day.

I had a 4-14, 3-6, and 5 dinks.

We got off the water around 4 cause one of my trolling motor batteries is going bad. So far I've bought a trolling motor, broke a transducer bracket (we've been fishing blind no side/down imaging since yesterday afternoon), and bought a deep cycle battery for this trip. Thank jeebus we're catching something.

I'll update more later. Bout to kill a shrimp poboy in some hole near hwy 6 bridge.

The bend put a whooping on me today. I didnt catch my first fish until 230. Caught 5 dinks off the same point on a c-rig watermelon candy lizard. Every where i went in Six Mile i couldnt buy a bite. No clue as to where im going tomorrow. I fished some buggy whips... Nothing lol.

Do ya'll ever throw Senko's weightless ?

I love them when it's cold, get it down in the grass and barely twitch it.

Wacky rig is my go to bait. All I caught on yesterday. Today couldn't have been anymore different.

Same, hell last year I started using wacky rig exclusively. Also the bait seems to last longer from getting split in half.

Although Clyde Tipton and I did a side by side test (He fished tx rigged and I fished wacky) and we caught the exact same number of fish.

I fish it Tx rigged mostly. I've fished it both ways and haven't noticed any one method catching more than the other.

Mainly fish it Tx rigged cause it's more snag proof. Even with the weed guards on the wacky hooks, I've still hung up.
