I have a 2wd crewmax with the tss package. I love my truck. It also has the sr5 package but has leather, backup and fully adjustable electric seats,

I get 15.5 MPG on average. I got 22 MPG going 65 on the highway. The reason it doesn't take long to go the gas station is not the bad gas mileage because it's about on par with the others, it's because the reserve is huge. From full to perceived empty on the gauge, it's only 20-22 gallons with a 5 gallon reserve.

They back seat is huge and everyone loves it. We have twins and a dog and all of them fit comfortably on our drive to Jackson

It's a very good riding truck. Keep in mind when switching to an E rated tie that ride quality will go down.

Also, if you have the chance, go to team Toyota they are fantastic and will take care of you after the sale. I would suggest buying a vehicle from a dealership that sells the brand you are looking for.

I've got an 06 that I've had since 06. Been a champ. Replaced two u joints and that's it, aside from routine maintenance. The only thing that I have against it is that it seems to need to be aligned more than any other vehicle I've owned.

The reason I went with F-150 over the Tundra is slightly better gas mileage and a 36 gallon fuel tank. I get 14-14.5 around town, and 17-18 on interstate with my Ecoboost, not quite as advertised, but better than 11-12 with a Tundra.

Thought about trading my Ford for one until I drove it. 1794 edition, had as much power as my ecoboost but EVERYTHING inside felt like cheap shite. Will be a long time before I consider another one.

This is finally getting fixed with a bigger tank on the 2016 models.

The mileage isn't great, but it's not the worst I've ever had. It does better than my Ram did in town, but not quite on the highway. It also does better than my 6.2 Sierra Denali did.

But you wanna know what is worth it? I like to ride with my seat almost all of the way back, and the CrewMax is roomy enough that I never have to put my seat forward no matter who's riding back there. That makes 1-2mpg loss worth it to me.

11-12 with the Tundra is not accurate. You won't find many people with a heavier foot than me. I average 15 overall.

I thought the western themed interior was tacky. Lots I didn't like about it, so I went with the limited. Nothing ok there feels cheap. But I guess that's all personal preference.

That's way off. Even my 3/4 ton Chevy gets better than that.

Anyone had to add extra springs or air bags to their Tundra due to payload? I've got mine loaded down pretty good and my rear springs are looking insufficient.

Mine doesn't. I'm in the sub-10 club when I drive strictly in the city

I felt the same. Buddy of mine had a 1794...interior looks nice, but materials felt cheap and the seats were like sitting on a picnic bench.

I have an 08 and just turned 170k on it. No problems. My mpg computer says 17.1 mpg. It will carry a load. Two wheel drive, TRD, crew cab, 5.7.

I do not like Supreme Toyota and may not buy another Toyota just because they are my closest dealer and I don't trust them at all. I will not even take recalls to them.

So if you have a dealer you can trust I say but the tundra.

That is horribly off on the 11-12. I can't get that even if I tried. The lowest I had ever gotten on a full tank and hand calculated was 14 MPG and that was strictly city driving and heavy foot week

That is with the TSS/Louisiana edition 20" wheels and being a crewmax

I felt the opposite on my SR5. It may not be the best looking but everything felt solid. The seats are very nice and soft. I wonder if they just don't have good "King Ranch" style seats

I have a 2013 Tundra double-cab 4x4. SR-5 I love the truck. Most comfortable vehicle I've ever owned. I'm 65 and have owned a bunch. Wife has a 2013 4 Runner and we take the Tundra for road trips because of the comfort. Mileage is comparable to other V-8 4 wheel drive trucks.

Same here, the seats are one of my favorite things. I have a lowly SR5 TSS too though.

I think the GM 5.3 is the mpg V8 leader.

Tundra is a fine truck, but MPG is its Achilles.

I hate Toyota seats. Feels like I'm sitting on the floor board. i have never fit in toyotas. Possibly because I'm tall and fat.

I'm 6'3" and the Tundra is fine for me so it's probably because you're fat.
