Can't be fun shooting a 13 gauge pistol. How are you even supposed to aim that thing.

Why you would buy that is beyond my comprehension.

You can get a brand spanking new 870 express for a good bit less than that.

You can buy a brand new 870 express (what that gun used to be) for a little over $300 at academy and then do what you want to it if you want to tacticool it.

A youth model will come with a short barrel like that.

ETA: Just found out they make a full size with an 18" barrel. That'd be the route to go for a home defense gun IMO. You could put whatever stock you want on it after that. I'm not sure how much they're going for since the craze. Forgot about that factor.

Here you go TTT

LINK

IMHO you shouldn't burn your money on that gun. It's overpriced for what it is and IMO worthless anyway with that stupid arse pistol grip stock and vertical pump handle.

If Academy is selling for $320, I'm sure I can find a sale from another online retailer, and have them ship to my $10 FFL

Thanks for the help

As a general rule, never pay over $275 for a used 870 express. You can pretty much count on being able to find a brand new one in a variety of configurations for around $300.

There are several other models if you want to look into it. There's some with pistol grip stocks and other stuff.

He can buy Mossberg pumps on gunbroker for $230 - $300

Here's one: LINK $305 with 9 Shot capacity.

Here's one for $227. LINK 8 rounds

If you want the Jerry Miculek versions, the model 930 is a good inexpensibe auto. LINK $750, holds a ton of shells (can't tell from ad how long the mag tube is.) Ghost ring sighht & sling.
