If that is your thing, about right, but a normal 870 express will do the same thing for under that price and you can use it for hunting too!

I don't hunt. Mainly wanted to add a defense shotgun to my collection. I don't know much about basic shotguns other than Rem 870 and Mossberg 500 are great value

get a detailed list of the add ons and look up the price for each one + the cost of gun new and see where that puts you at

I wouldn't get it. Buy a new Remington 870 HD model (unless you are boycotting too). I don't care for a pistol grip only. The HD model comes with the stock with the pistol grip, along with an extended mag for about the same price.

If you buy it, put a damn stock on it. Stockless shotguns are only practical for breaching doors. Besides that, you can't aim it because it'll break your face. And besides that, it'll break your wrist since all the recoil goes into it.
Put a stock on it if you're gonna buy it.
