The internet never forgets...
ETA: The Propel knockoff is the Marsh Series and the Hobie knockoff is the Redfish Series.

There is also a Hobie logo on that shirt underneath the Geaux Yaks logo that was photoshopped onto it

This can't be legit. They're posting about it on BCKFC on Facebook too.

I'm sure this has been covered somewhere. But, which do you prefer, fish bag or a hard cooler? I don't keep a lot of fish, but when I do it will usually be crappie and maybe every now and then catfish or bluegill. Whichever way I go, I want it to fit in the cargo area behind my seat.
It seems like a fish bag made for kayaks would hold more fish, but a small cooler would be more versatile.

I use a soft-side icechest, a Polar Bear 24 size. Holds 15 2-3# fish juuust barely.

I have a few different options, just depends on what kayak I'm in and what I'll be doing that day.
I have one of the Columbia PFG bags, it comes with 2 liner bags, so you can keep your fish and drinks/food separate if needed. It holds well enough for a day of fishing, a couple weeks ago I put a limit of specs(25) in it and still had plenty of room.
I also have a AO Cooler 36 can bag, it's thicker and it holds ice much better than the Columbia does, but doesn't have any separate liners. It's the one I use the most.

AO36 soft side cooler with tournament bag inside. Fish go in tournament bag, beer goes outside the tournament bag.

These two are by far the most popular two ways to store catch amongst the kayak fisherman in our area. I personally use the AO 36 and have no experience with the Columbia. I most definitely prefer a soft cooler over a hard.
If you are going to run a hard cooler, make sure you have one with a lid that fastens or put a strap over it. I started off with a cheap hard cooler and had a couple fish jump out the ice chest right back into the water due to the lid not being fastened.
I just find the soft coolers are less bulky and also weigh less.

I use the cheap California Innovations cooler bags that are sold at Sam's for like $8. They last a while, but for so cheap, you can get a few at a time and chunk them each year.

So what is about the soft coolers that everyone likes so much? It seems like they'd get nasty fast.

I plop mine up on the bow with some ice in it and it doesn't move. Easier to get to than one behind the seat for me. Also doesn't catch wind like a hard side cooler. Take it home and just clean it out with a little soapy water. The one I mentioned is also super cheap to replace.

It's lighter and easier to fit in tight spaces.
This one is surprisingly durable. It's held up for over 3 years.

My son and I joined the kayak club. He's been after me for nearly 2 years to get yaks and we finally did. Bought 2 Wilderness Systems ATAK 120's. Got a camp in GI so thats where they'll stay and be used the
most.
most.

Congrats! It's a fun way to fish. Hunting reds is damn fun.

Seriously? I've bought 3 demos from Massey's. Sold one for more than I paid. Brought my total for the 2 I kept well below what I would have paid in the used market.
