we've got one that has an excellent deer dog. he came to track one my uncle shot last year. he didn't give a shite about the feeding troughs in the middle of the plots, just found the deer and got out of there.

the fricked up thing is, they are technically not trespassing

as long as they are working, then you are correct

they can work with local law enforcement and search your shite without obtaining a warrant and report their findings to the department they are working with, giving them probable cause.

again, false (to an extent)

A game warden, has to follow the EXACT same protocol as a regular PO/SO/Trooper when it comes to searches of you or your things such as your car or home.

HOWEVER, those same rules do not apply to a LDWF agent that is out in the field, i.e. on the water checking boaters/fishermen or in the woods checking hunters. Yes, if you are being checked and you light up a joint(has happened), or he finds drugs or something else illegal going on he can arrest you, as long as he was originally within the scope of his duties by checking/searching you in the field.

I'd like you to clarify as well why that is false. We were shooting guns outside my house in college and the sherriff showed due to a call in complaint and brought a game warden with them. Game warden walked in, then told sheriffs to come on in.
No warrant necessary buddy.

This story is either completely fabricated, details were left out or your 4th amendment right was completely trampled on.

Are you referring to State Wildlife and Fisheries or US Fish and Wildlife? My good friend is a federal agent and yeah, he can pretty much do whatever he wants.

If an Agent has a belief that you are taking advantage of the natural resources of the state, then he can technically do whatever he wants but there has to be evidence presented to him to suggest that you are. He can't just walk up to you and say "hey, i think you're fishing and hiding stuff in your car, I'm going to search it."

which is completely subjective to each persons thoughts. I was making a phone call on the side of a gravel road, with no gun while sitting on my tailgate, and my entire truck was turned inside out

I didn't find it quite as humorous then, but now we laugh about it. We have the ticket on the picture board in the camp. FTR, speeding on a gravel road consists of a $125.00 ticket.

Yeah, but most agents realize that having that authority is a privilege and on top of that the possibility of it still being thrown out in court and agents aren't as likely to abuse it...that being said every occupation has its fair share of assholes.
