Buying Polaris Crew 900 and need a trailer to haul it in as well as a trailer that can be pulled by the 900. I have read that single axle 14x6 is the way to go. What say the OB? Anyone buy a trailer from Mike Gerald's Trailer Depot on Airline or Truck & Trailer World in Denham Springs?

I would really want a double axle for a 14ft trailer.

But I would think a single axle would be better for pulling with the sxs. Unless it's just around the yard or something.

I got a 14' tandem axle to haul my Ranger. The Ranger pulls it with no problem.

I bought a 6x14 single axle pipe top trailer from mike Gerald for $1200. Get the pipe top to stiffen the trailer. I wouldn't want to pull a tandem axle trailer with a SxS and a tandem axle is a pain in the arse to hook up by yourself.

Are you happy with your Mike Gerald trailer? I will be pulling a 900 Crew to Lawrence County MS and Arkansas and throw on an ice chest or three (hopefully with all the beer gone and full of deer meat)- wondering if it will be an easy ride with all of that. May have to pull a bunch of 8 year olds around for a few hay rides as well.

I have a 14 x 78" single axle for my ranger. Idk what you need the ranger to pull the trailer for but get a tandem axle car hauler with ramps you can stow and and trailer breaks. Used one the other day with 2 side by sides on it and was blown away at how much better it trailered than my 14' with a gate and single axle.

Single. A tandem is extra tires you don't need in this application.

Ronnie's trailer in Kosciusko has some good deals. My dad got a 6x10 with a gate for under $800.
From FB:
6.10x14 A frame with 2' rear gate, and 2' dovetail at the rear, 3500 lb axle, and NEW 15" tires and rims, 2x8 treated wood floor, with a 2" coupler, the trailer is wired with lights.
ONLY $980 +tax!

The weight of this toy is relevant.

A tandem axle trailer is virtually impossible to move by hand. Vehicles with two axles do not "turn", they drag one pair of tires, which is added tire wear, and a hassle to move.

If the weight demands it, get it. Otherwise, you're just injecting one more maintenance issue into your life. (well, two with your other new toy)

I'd go single axle for SXS. Easier to handle & turn around when you get to the woods

This is the determining factor, I have taken my trailer in woods and if you get in a tight spot you can unhook it and turn it by hand. If you aren't going to manipulate it by hand ever, get the double, if you are going to haul stands into woods ir stuff like that, get the single

Yep have done this many times & quite sure if a double axle would have been involved I'd still been in some of those places
