Burris Fullfield TAC30
I've been eyeballing one of these for awhile.

I just found that same thing doing a search.
Uopn looking closer, the scope rings have rails on top. I didn't think they made rings like that. I have an extra scope at home I could slide in those rings then add me reflex sight to the top.
Brilliant!

I have that Burris base on my current .300 build. Seems to be a very solid base.
ETA: It comes with the both normal and railed rings.

Would be pretty sweet but its 1k dollars.
I can get the rings with rail for 100 dollars and throw a bushnell in there and slap my 35 dollar TruGlo on top and do what I need to do.

That's a heavy setup. I ran it for a while and ended up taking it off and going with a 1-4 scope.

I much prefer a 45 degree side mount to mounting a reflex on top of your optic. On top of the optic requires you to move your head position from your rifle. a 45 degree mount just a quick twist of the rifle puts the sight into line and IMHO is a more comfortable and natural shooting position over breaking my cheek weld and raising my head to view a top mounted reflex sight.

Then why did you make the thread if you have it figured out?

Well I didn't even know they had rings with rails before I started this thread
Or those flip mounts for the red dot magnifiers.
And didn't think about the 45 degree mount.
Im learning of different options with every post. Well, almost every post. Yours is the only one not helpful and useless. Congrats on standing out above the crowd.

I might be wasting money but I could put together the same set up for under 200 dollars. Im sure it wont be as high quality but it might be worth a try
5x-Compact-Adjustable-CQB-Scope-Red-Dot-Sight-Tactical-Magnifier $80
/sightmark-flip-to-side-30mm-mount $30

My personal advice,
Buy a good quality 1-4x or 1-6x, I wouldn't be looking for the cheapest one either. Plenty of good manufacturers that aren't charging $500 and come with a really good warranty.

+1
I ran this setup at the beginning of a rifle course and eventually took the magnifier off because it was too heavy and in the way.
If you get a low-power scope, the red dot is kind of unnecessary. If I have the option of going to 1x power, then I'm not even gonna use the dot. Using 1x power also gives you very generous eye relief and is still easy to follow at close ranges.
I am with Jdavid on this one. 1-4x scope on a quality set of rings. Look at the Larue QD scope mount and the Burris PEPR. Two of my favorites.

The Burris P.E.P.R. is pretty awesome for this, I finally got around to putting mine on last week. Burris Fullfield II 4.5-14 and Burris Fast Fire III up front on top. (Yes, I like Burris products.)

I have the Leupold Mark AR mod 1 with the fire dot reticle on my 5.56, love this scope. Pump up the dot in the reticle to serve as a red dot at 1.5x, or dial it up to 4x for some magnification. Usually can be found for significantly less than retail online as well. LINK

With a set up like that Id think I could zero the scope at 200 yards and have the red dot at 100. Im gonna get me one of those mounts

I have that Burris PEPR and the Leupold VX Hog. Again the gun isn't finished but it seems like it will be a great setup when I'm done.
