It feels like it but I don't have statistics to support it. I know a few people I went to school with that never hunted or picked up a gun before are sporting face paint and posing for pictures with fake action shots on facebook.

I call non-stop. Mostly hail and feeding call.

That's the way to do it! If you see the b-lined towards your spread and cupped up, the way to seal the deal is to give them your best (loudest) hail call. If you do this, it's guaranteed they will decoy even without a feed chuckle.

I was out there this morning. It wasn't that bad. There were a lot of boats but once they started to launch it went pretty fast.
Why would you expect someone to tell you exactly where they are going? That's like giving up your sweet spot. That ain't gonna happen. We had one boat come through our spead as we were setting up this morning but it was no big deal. Had another one turn around when they saw us.
You wouldn't happen to have been the older gent with the bateau in the back of the ford ranger we talked to this morning?

These duck dynasty tagalongs will be onto deer hunting now thanks to the Busbice boys anyway.

It's about time the duckheads recognize the superior sport anyway

They we're probably deer hunters first

Did duck dynasty really make more duck hunters? LP is already populated 80% by meat hunters, it won't change much. Unless I guess they start hunting during the day instead of spotlighting, then that could be an issue.

Check duck stamp numbers....

Went scouting yesterday in my kayak. Found a hole with about 80 mallards in it. Watched them for at least 45 minutes until a mud motor came down the main canal. I knew today would be world war 3. Buddy of mine went and said there were no less than 40 trucks parked on section 120 at 4 am. Glad I didnt go. Will hit that hole in january during the week. Will stick to the woodies where no one goes until then.

You need to hammer those ducks NOW. Wait til a weekday to avoid the crowds and boom scouters if you must but if there's ducks there now I'd hit them ASAP. There are no guarantees they'll be in that same hole in January. Especially on public land.

If y'all think the dumb asses are a hew thing y'all aint been hunting long enough...

Mud motors just make it easier to for lazy fricks to get deep in to marsh swamp

I know one lease where folks are having their best season since before Katrina

Land manager banned mud motors and air boats...now their back and shallow spots are holding resting ducks

Blasphemy! Mud motors are for only the truest of all duck hunters. Think I'm lying? Go to any public launch and look at how many trucks in the parking lot have stickers on their back glass.

Where exactly do you get off saying that secluded holes from the flooded timber to the marsh that used to hold ducks for decades are now being hunted by every slinging dick with a surface drive???

I agree, but it just isnt worth the trouble to me. It was great just being able to paddle around and watch those ducks. Would love to shoot em, but dont want to put up with the yahoos. I'd rather kill 3 woodies and see no one, then hunt with the masses for the chance to kill some greenheads.

No ones alter, former longtime lurker just took a hiatus from other forms of social media, I'd rather read and discuss stuff like this than my former classmates political views.

I met Carter the other day at Bowie's, I'm a real guy.
