I called Boutte just for shits, they just told me they had a Ruger 22, a Marlin 22, and a Marlin 30-30 but she wouldn't tell me if they were on sale. No one has mentioned these get so I'm assuming not on sale

If its not far I would not assume and go. Or over the phone If you trust her to do what you ask, make her punch in the code (not scan). Dont just look at the tag on the gun.

On the marlin site they are saying this is nation wide and people all over are getting that 299 marlin.

I would have bought any of the 3 larger calibers...I would have liked to have a deer rifle, I typically use a .243 and I know many find that to be undersized.

Don't underestimate the .243!
Hunting in Arkansas on a beautiful morning I heard this deer fighting with another buck rattling antlers and snorting like crazy. That same day late in the afternoon he was taken with the rifle above.
This was at the end of the rut and he weighed in at 190 lbs. He was probably a good 220+ a few weeks earlier. He was a nine point with three tines broken from fighting, had a gash in the neck from fighting that morning, had what appeared to be a slice in the underside of his chest(I'm told someone shot at him with a bow and barely missed)and when skinning him five 00 buck shot pellets fell to the floor of the skinning shed. I took him with this .243. Don't underestimate the caliber.

This is for a Browning Abolt I'm selling in .243 w/BOSS.

Considering that I don't have any of those calibers now in rifle form, and I was about to spend $500+ on a CZ that has both of these calibers in one, I think I'll sleep pretty darn good tonight.

Awesome. I hope they don't sell mine. They claim they can't cuz the lady was off today. And they have a note with my info saying I want it. And the lafy would call the other lady. But this is wallmarks after all

That's a negative Ghost Rider...

I was there at 11:30 am there was a OB'rs wife there purchasing two guns from clearance one was a fluted bull barrel 17 hmr...the other I didn't see what it was.

My buddy that works the gun counter said some guy was there @ 7:15 waiting for the gun counter to open at 8am to buy the 45-70 lever gun

I bought what they had left...we went into the back room to scan all the guns in case anything else was reduced...all they had left was
$199 .30-06 Ruger
$199 .243 Ruger
and
Mossberg model 70 plinkster for $54

I couldn't help myself...

I walked out with all three for under $500

but unfortunately I went fishing right after and I lost them all

They were on sale last Wednesday when I was there and had a Ruger in .308(what I really wanted)

should have bought it then...they had a bunch of savage 17 and 22wmr at the time...
