Yesterday morning the Ponchatoula store didn't have anything of interest, probably because the marked-down prices were on full display. Also, several pages back a poster mentioned

I just read on the marlin forum that someone at wallmart told them it usually wont scan the sale number that you have to enter it in. So if any of you get told its not on sale after a scan make them key it in.

My current problem is I love the price of that one but damn the SBL version is fricken fine...but $800+
Also if you open a wallmart CC and spend 250 you get 10% off. So you could really get a 45-70 for 220 + tax.

I would have bought any of the 3 larger calibers...I would have liked to have a deer rifle, I typically use a .243 and I know many find that to be undersized.

If it's the Thurway Walmart you're wasting your time.
I checked this morning (while looking for soft sided Ozark coolers ). They only have BB guns, they're located next to the case that houses the sling shots, also in the glass case with sling shots is the BBs for the BB guns. They also had a case just for regular ammo.
