I had the fortune of meeting the man a couple of times. He bought firewood from me just because I was trying to pay for college bee and he had a real job, and I hauled his truck off to the shop for him once. I had the pleasure of meeting his family and what a great family they are.

Hard to believe it's been 3 years since he left. I can't lie to anyone and say he was a great close personal friend of mine like he is of yours, but I hope y'all are doing well in his absence. I wish I had gotten the chance to know him better while he was here.

Y'all know where to find me if y'all need anything

Saw his wife's Facebook post as well. Hard to believe 3 years have gone by so fast. Like many here, I didn't know him personally but from his time here, our conversations with him on here, and the testimonials of people who knew him closely tells me he was one of the great ones that anyone would have liked to call a friend.

To 4LSU2, EJW's family and friends... Thoughts and prayers going out to all of you.

I didn't know him, but I'm sad with you that he's no longer with you and his family.

RIP big buddy.

Great guy, taken way too soon. His wife's FB post on their anniversary definitely made me tear up. I'm going hug my babies.

Didn't know the guy, but it was great seeing OB'rs helping his family out.

Only got to meet him one time and I think most here only got to meet him once as well. But despite that, the fundraiser for his family after his passing was one of the most gracious things I've seen, even more impressive considering most of the attendees only knew him from the board. The generosity of everyone still floors me to this day. It's always tough when a family loses a father and husband but I'm sure the help of everyone made it a little easier.

When I met him he had already gotten part of the tumor removed and couldn't have had a better attitude about it. He seemed completely at peace with it and stayed positive. It's a good example for us to follow. He was a very respectable man.
