Not sure if i missed where the necklaces came in, but if not they could be some way to keep insects away that the producers snuck in as just necklaces.

They're starving? There's f$%king food everywhere!!! Grubs bitches, eat some grubs and beetles and shite. At the least. Not to mention the green stuff around. Some of those plants are edible.

They said unusually cold, so I'm guessing this was the cold snap we experienced this spring after it had heated up a bit.
