Has anyone ever bought one of these? I ran across them and wanted some feed back before i shelled out 200 bucks.

They are very good calls. Hunted last season with a guy that could spit straight fire out of one. But...

200 bucks.

I'll keep blowing my Chein Caille for now.

Very expensive, but, i also believe in buying quality and not having to buy again.

Buy a Riceland for half the price and be done with. Quality is there and great call.

The best speck callers I've ever hunted with use Redbone. Having said that, I use a Riceland. Mainly because I've just started practicing and I was not going to drop $200 on a call and not know how to blow it. My Riceland sounds just fine, and I believe I paid less than $100 for it.

Long time lurker, first time poster here. I have both an acrylic riceland and a redbone. I feel like the redbone sounds more like a goose when I blow it, but I will say it's easier to get the murmers and low end clucks out of the ricelands, but I prefer the redbone. Also the acrylic ricelands are about the same cost as a redbone.

A couple of buddys have Hobos. They seem to lock up a good bit. Could be user error, but theirs do.
I like my Ducklander.

Riceland seems easier to blow to me. Both sound good and worth the money IMO.

Dammit now I can't stop thinking about being in a layout blind

Ricelands are very easy to blow. I can and have often been on the call for 10 minutes straight in a big rag spread. Lungs get tired later in the morning though

I have both redbone and rice land. I use the Riceland more often however the redbone is a little deeper tone I think sounds a little like and older speck. I use it a lot late in the season. I don't think I can go wrong with either.

I agree with the deeper tone in late season. Another stupid thing is when you see guys with maybe 3 or 4 goose decoys out and calling like a competition blowing their lungs out. Just sweet talk to them like you trying to drop some panties.

Jimbeam...I tried that over a rag spread one time. Between no breath and call full of chew spit, I said never again.

Ive heard this from multiple people, and I gotta say, I agree with it being deeper. I'm not good enough to tell whether Im hearing an older speck or not, I just know its a speck

ETA: I hunted with a guy once last year (we went with a mutual friend, Ive never met this guy or could even tell you his name now) who supposedly used to make calls for riceland, or work for riceland or something like that. He blew a riceland he modified himself, and it sounded fricking awesome.

ETA AGAIN: If I wanted the best speck call out there, Id get a redbone. If I wanted a quality call for about half the price, just to blew at the occasional group of specks, Id suggest getting the riceland.

I've got a poly Riceland, I'd let go. I have no use for it since moving to a salt marsh blind on the east side.

My success rate is astronomically higher using a big spread. If I didn't have to I wouldn't
