I’ve always been told to make sure they’re all belly down too....

This works pretty good. I’ve used it on flounder so I’m sure it will work on bream. Just need a drill and your wife’s cake mixer attachment....
re: Am I expecting too much from my lab puppy?
Posted by Specklebelly on 7/19/20 at 9:48 am
4.5 month old lab is still kind of young. Be careful on how much pressure you put on the pup. Too much pressure early on can take the drive out of a dog.
Do you plan on retriever training the dog yourself or sending it to a pro?
I’m having a dog trained right now and my trainer told me not to...
re: Got attacked by a wolf last night, in my neighborhood

A young girl was also mauled yesterday or the day before by her neighbor’s German shepherd-wolf hybrid. Messed her up pretty bad. They couldn’t get the dog off of her, they had to shoot it while it was latched on the child’s head from what I’ve heard. I think it happened somewhere South of Rayne in ...

Go to your vet or local feed store and get some vetericyn, I’m not sure if that’s spelled right. It works great for hot spots or any cuts or wounds on the skin. Comes in a spray bottle and is easy to apply....

Gatortail fan here also, I prefer the instant reverse for fishing and frogging, plus I find the gatortail is a little faster on top end. But if you are in some real nasty mud often, then the Prodrive might be better suited with the full power reverse.
Both gatortail and Prodrive will let you test d...
Need advice on a 3 blade vs 2 blade prop for gatortail.
Posted by Specklebelly on 3/4/20 at 8:36 pm
My 2 blade stock prop is worn down pretty bad and I need a new one. I run a stock 35gtr on a 16/54 hull. I mostly run deep water while fishing but during duck season the mud gets bad sometimes when the north wind pushes the water out.
I’ve been told the 3 blade has better top end speeds in deeper ...
What is an easy Speck call to learn on?
Get a poly Riceland or Redbone to learn on. You can order them off their websites. Riceland may be a little easier to run, but I prefer redbone....
re: White Lake Conservation Area Rice Field Lottery Hunt Tomorrow
Posted by Specklebelly on 1/14/20 at 4:47 pm
If you have a half dozen speck full bodies, I would bring that too incase they don’t have any. Idk about white lake but south of Gueydan they have been killing specks on the regular. And hope you get a teal flight, cause the big ducks are few and far between this year....
Do you think this front will help move birds into a stale area?
When I left Ponca city last weekend they were saying there were still a lot of birds in Kansas. I’m thinking this front will move the birds in on y’all. We still had ok hunts but you can tell the birds weren’t there li...
re: Oklahoma Duck Hunting Trip

Just left Ponca city today, we killed a few but it wasn’t really good. They are expecting a good front and possibly snow next week. There is some birds in the area but right now the birds are stale, hopefully they get a new push of birds so y’all can really smack them. Good luck....

I’ve heard that marlin fly bait mixed with coke in bowl will wipe them out, but I’m pretty sure that would be against the law....

re: Legal way to create open water in rice field?

If it’s second crop, does the farmer plan on harvesting it? If so just wait till it’s cut then buffalo or plow the entire cut and flood it. If he doesn’t plan on harvesting it, then I would consult wildlife and fisheries because it might be considered natural vegetation under the law if the f...
