Probably the best value, non-custom 1911 on the market, IMO. Look it up.

And that's where you're wrong. I want the most reliable weapon I can have as my HD weapon. Unlike the Ruger, there are no corners cut on that level of Wesson to fit a price point. Speaking of, how many 1911's do you own?

Tom you know that's a highly subjective statement.

Oh. Thank you. I know I'm probably going to catch flak for this, but I would think a 1911 called "Tactical Response Pistol" would have a rail on it.

Looks identical to the one posted. I had them polish the diconnector track. It was stiff and it was the only thing I didn't like about the gun. Had a trigger job done but only because I do that with every gun. Didn't necessarily need it.

It is an option. The gun is a production clone of the PRO which holds the contract for FBI's swat and hrt teams.

If that's the case you would want a Glock, H&K, or Sig.

Well, I guess it's a good thing I included "IMO" at the end.

Over 100 years of combat history > Glock, H&K, & Sig combined...

My original post was just the pic of the TRP. The edit was the entire response to SabiDojo that you see, including the "IMO" part. Obviously it's a subjective opinion, but I think you can make a pretty strong case for it.

I agree. It's a fine pistol that I would be proud to own. You're tempting me to trade my Rail Gun towards the purchase of one.
