Kimber ultra CDP II .45 extremely happy with it. I don't think I'll ever get married or have kids now. It is very fun to shoot and would be a great concealed carry.

The only negative is the magazines aren't the best so I'm going to order the kimber pro tek mags here soon.

Photo to be posted soon.
ETA: I don't know how to post photos from my iPhone so no photos.

Because I'd much rather spend money elsewhere and on more significant things.

Nice. I'd consider giving up a testicle for one of their full sized 1911s

Was checking out the Custom II this past weekend at Precision. They have some of the best prices I've ever seen on Kimbers.

Thanks hat, yea it's a 3 in barrel. It's a custom defense so it's meant to be concealed and works well.

Careful with 1911s under 5" they have a tendency to be unreliable. Given all the options on the market, a 3" 1911 would be the last thing I'd trust my life with. As for mags, go with Wilson Combat ot Tripp Research.

The guy I bought it from day's he can hook me up with ccl classes for cheap if I find a group of six or seven guys to take it with. Also said the classes would be cut from nine hours to around three to five hours max.

You interested hat?

SWEET! As far as looks, it's hard to beat a nicely done 1911.

Is the frame aluminum or steel. I've got a steel framed 3 1/2" 1911 that's part of my cc rotation. A steel frame's not a deal breaker for cc, but you will know you are carrying a gun. Get a nice GUN belt and holster and you'll be fine. Of course, befoare carrying it, you'll want to run a lot of rounds through it to be sure it's reliable.

ETA: The manual of arms for the 1911 requires more study and practice than many of guns. Be sure you know it well before carrying it. If a person knows the manual of arms well and shoots the gun proficiently, the 1911 and 45 ACP are hard to beat for cc.
