How can they sell them so cheap? Are they just huge PoS?

It's the owners that suck. From everything I have read on them they are huge douches.

I am reading that now on a thread I found on Louisiana Sportsman.

I like the idea of having a trailer custom built to what I need like he offers but I am not going to waste my time and money if I never get it or get a PoS.

Also not a big fan of BigTex like everyone else around here in SWLA. They seem cheaply built too.

I currently have two Maxey trailers and may go that route again I guess. They are more expensive but the quality is hard to beat.

Yeah that's the thing. I hear that he jacks you around on a timeline to be completed and gives you the run around. If it's something that you need in the near future I would avoid him at all costs. Again, this is all word of mouth, so take it with a grain of salt. A bad review here and there is one thing, but when people shite on your business as often as they do his, I tend to play it safe.

From what I am reading I could probably build my own faster than I would get one from them.

I just can't buy the materials as cheap as they seem to be able to.

I have used a few Pro Pull trailers that all seem to be good quality

I bought one from them 2 years ago. No issues here. I bought one that was already available so I can't say anything about timeframe. The guy that sold it to me was nice.

Don't know about Proride, but if you're looking for a recommendation, Mike Gerald's trailers are great. Heard great things about them and bought one last year. High quality trailer

My dad had the guy build him a 16 ft trailer. The guy took like 4 months to get it built after promising it in 45 days. Then when it was finally built the guy never paid the sales tax and we couldn't get the trailer inspected and a tag. We were finally able to do it but took threaten the guy with a beat down to get it straight. The trailer is quality but not worth the headache.

Don't see how you could use the guy after all the stuff written about him on the sportsman. Multiple people having the same awful experience. Too much bullshite to deal with for a trailer. As I remember it, the sportsman even dropped him as a sponsor. I think some people had to take him to court.

May all just be e badasses on the sportsman talking trash, but it was a lot of trash. Can't say I remember reading anything good.

Proride or Pro Pull?...

regarding Proride
[quote]BBB received a pattern complaints from consumers alleging they have paid this company for Tax, Title & License for registration of their trailers. Months later they still have not received the paperwork and license plate that they paid the for. On 6/6/2013, the company contacted the BBB and responded to all complaints filed against them at that time. As of 6/15/2013, the company no longer responds to the complaints filed against them. The complaints allege poor workmanship of the product and almost immediate failure of the product purchased. If you are having an issue with this company, we would suggest you seek legal advice. - See more at: LINK ]

They used to advertise them heavy in La Sportsman. I checked into them but they seemed a bit light for why I was looking for. Mike Gerald's is top notch and has a huge selection. I ended up ordering a trailer from C&R auto in Woodville ms. They are awesome to deal with and can get you exactly what you want. I sketched mine out and they had it built. It took 4 weeks as they promised. They are about 2 miles north of Illusions on 61.

Thanks for the heads up. I was about to go talk to them to build a trailer for me. I need something to haul 17' heavy logs. Talking something that can handle 10K in weight.

Call Mr Clifford at CR. I bought a 20ft flatbed with a 2ft dove. I have 2 7k axles with brakes on all 4 tired.I wanted the ramps under the trailer instead of on the back. It's built like a friggin tank too . Good folks to deal with. I think feliciana tiger fan was purchasing there as well. When you get done you can go to the titty bar.

Well Shite... I bought one from him back in June. Walked in and got what I wanted in about 30 mins total. Nice guy, Great Trailer.... But I still have not received the plate and registration that was purchased. Didnt know that this is a common issue. Guess I will call them today.

I had to stay on them for a while to get my registration. Also told me 4 weeks for trailer and it ended up being 6. Wasn't too big of a deal but it lines up with what others have said. Only issues with trailer are normal wood warping and rust where the paint has come off.

The reason I went with them is their tongue design lets you ride with tailgate down if needed and it will never hit

I wouldn't have let it 6 months without raising hell with the guy. How do people stay in business operating this way?
