with the way everyone says he puts off getting their sales tax and registration paid it sounds like this guy is having some working capital issues and is pushing his payables out as far as he can.

Seems like the business might be struggling financially. Or the guy is just a piece of shite and hopes his customers don't remember they need a license plate and registration and pockets the money.

It's very illegal for a business to charge a tax and then keep it.

I was only going to drive from Lake Charles to Port Allen to get a custom one made for the price he was offering. This thread and the one on LA Sportsman changed my mind.

I will either buy another Maxey from a dealer here in Lake Charles or head to Rose City Texas where I have bought a few cargo trailers from.

I also encourage anyone to check out a Maxey trailer if possible. Very well built but they are a bit more pricey because of it.

They look just like Mike Geralds. I know they buy their stuff from some dude in Texas. At least on their lightweight trailers.

Stay away from Proride. The owner is a thief and the trailers are built cheaply.

Not sure if they still do trailers anymore, but we got our trailer, custom, from Bellue's Cajun Cuisine off Scenic Hwy, and they did an awesome job. It's probably 12 years old, and still in awesome shape, even with heavy use from when my older brother cut yards in high school, then was passed down to me to cut yards in I was in high school.

I disagree. If a company is that bad, you should be able to complain about them anywhere at anytime. You don't want other people to make the same mistake.

Wow, bumping again after two days...

Tell me, where on your gooseneck did Jason Jarreau touch you ?

It's one thing for a member here to buy one and then come back and say they had a terrible experience. But for someone to join, just so they can flame the guy is ridiculous. Guy made one post and bolted. That's just flaming his company.
