Good, that is the water you need to be in. Watch out for the private water ownership

Not to worry my friend. I know and understand the law. I also know that judges don't actually apply the "law" in all circumstance. It's politics.

I'm not gonna say you're ignorant. But the majority of what you've posted in this thread is incorrect, with the bulk of it being simple bs.

You, on the other hand, are probably some old fart that thinks he can keep me from fishing in a public bayou simply because you've done it for years. Maybe we'll cross paths one day and I'll show your old arse that I have every right to use all the public waters of the state.
I don't disagree that you have the right to "fish in a public bayou. And I agree that you have the right to "use all the public waters of the state."

What I question is your ability to comprehend what defines "public waters" in Louisiana.

p.s. As has been mentioned, 1812 is important. Perhaps a visit to the Louisiana State Land Office would be instructive.

jays bulb ain't quite as bright as he thinks it is.

and jay, take some advice from an old man,, don't mess with old men, specially in a canal or pond I built, even if it's big enough to put yer yacht in. In La., it will be aerated, with the quickness.
