OWB - Conceal Carry

Most of the time I don't tuck my shirts in, when I took my CC class 2 of the instructors were CCing OWB under their shirts - if I am looking for a new 9mm for this type of carry what size frame frame would you carry? I have thought about something solar in size to a ruger SR9c - what are your suggestions

A good holster will hide even the biggest of pistols.
Check out the Blackpoint Tactical leather wing holsters and insert your favorite blaster.

Lots of good options if you are wanting a double stack there always the classic glock 29 or 26. For ease of use, I like single stacks. Just easier to carry around since its thinner and not print or anything. About to buy a P938 myself....

imo Kimber Solo is the best
I do mostly smaller frame pistols when carrying OWB, I don't do it often because you might as well be open carrying and I kinda only do it with a sport jacket and tucked behind my back unless I think thuggery is afoot
and you don't really want to do this with nice shirts because the hammer will wear down the inside of the shirt

I use a Comp-Tac paddle holster (located in Houston) and a gun belt made by "The Belt Man" (located in North Carolina).
In the summertime I conceal the gun under a "camp shirt" or an Underarmour polo shirt --- both with shirt-tail out. The shirts are dark colored and/or have a pattern that camouflages any "printing" of the gun.
In the cooler months you can tuck your shirt in and wear a light jacket (or a heavy one, depending on temperatures).
I tell people that OWB is usually the way to go if they can conceal the gun. IWB conceals better for some people, but OWB almost always facilitates a faster drawstroke.

It seems to me that OWB would be wayyyyyyyyyyy better than IWB if you don't tuck your shirt in and are wider at the shoulders than the gut. There's no way I would want to have a pistol stuck inside my waistband all day every day.

Here's my OWB rig from Raven Concealment. I got the skinny guy bend (they contour it a bit more) with 10 degree cant (one of 3 options, straight up and down is interesting since it allows you to carry it up front), no body shield on the inside, and quick mounting straps. Very comfortable and easy to draw from.

If I get my CCW, that's the way I would carry.

Comtac Flatline can be IWB or OWB. Great holster. It is my EDC.

Here's what I carry. The 43 conceals great and is my go to as of late. It is easily concealed appendix under a T-shirt. The 19 conceals easy in the same position. Winter carry - I like have it OWB at 3 o'clock under a jacket too. I made these holsters myself but there are plenty of good guys in the kydex game right now to choose from. Phlster, Trex Arms, Armadillo Concealment to name a few.
