"I had an older Chevy Tahoe that I drove for years. Interior parts broke all over, door handles broke, power mirrors out, replaced the fuel pump twice, A/C compressor also. I bought a newer one, and I'll be damned if I didn't have the same fricking problems on the newer body style. They know these parts are shite, but they won't improve them.

There's a lot of truth there.

GM used the same shitty interior parts and door handles for a helluva long time; 2007-2013. A lot of that had to do with the financial turmoil the company was in, IMO.

When my 110# daughter can snatch the door handle off just opening the damn door, you knew it was pretty lame.

So how did you get them to come off that much?

Negotiate and be prepared to walk away. Lots of dealerships to choose from.

I find it's better to not even show up until you have a deal. Of course, you better be damn sure on that vehicle. On this case, I could pick from 3 because they were identical in every way but color.

The recall on the seat belts had not been done so they could not sell it.

What is this seat belt recall you speak of? I have a 14 Sierra.
