I've posted before, mine is an XLT 5.0 with some options including spray in bed liner, 302A, and a couple of more. Sticker was $53,731, and I paid $37,500.

If you look at MSRP on NADA and then what's on a sticker, there is 4-5K markup of some kind on top of factory MSRP. Fuzzy math for sure.

You should pay no attention whatsoever to sticker prices on domestic trucks.

Ford discounts xlt the most over a lariat or higher. Nothing special about that deal on an XLT. If you would score that on higher trim I'd be impressed with it. Chevy I'd just avoid but each maker has issues.

XLT or not, you can't get 16K off the actual sticker price on a 2016 ford truck

I agree. Just a blanket statement on discounts. But yea 12 I'd say is a nice amount off on a '15 no way on '16

Don't know if that was towards me but if you are referring to all of the people claiming to get another cars worth of money taken off of the top then count me in also.

This could not be more true. I have a Platinum and am fixing to buy the 250 platinum when it comes out and can tell you that I will not get a lot off. The only thing they may do is give me a little more for trade since I am buying up.

I have said it on here before and I will say it again. I think they are all lying shits if they expect anyone knowledgeable to believe some of these numbers. I will gladly let them negotiate my next deal. I sell 18 Wheelers for a living and most of these guys would get asked to leave.

I will say this, I saved over $3,500 on my last new vehicle with one email to Houston. That was before we even negotiated. That's how bad cenla is.

Hell, I don't even know how you get an XLT to MSRP that high.

Right now the most expensive XLT on the lot at Allstar is 42K selling for 34.5. That's 17.8% off. Even if they came off another 2500 to make it 32K that'd be 23.8% off.

You're saying you paid 30% off MSRP. There's no way.

Robinson Brothers was taking 13k off all XLTs when I got my Lariat. I am not sure how much more they would have gone down though.

Yea I mean I have no doubt about that because it is based off of dealer concessions. Perfect example is because my company moves so many trucks our cost is a lot cheaper than other companies which is the same for you in this instance. Plus the volume that a lot of car dealerships in big towns move can save them and allow them to really dig down on prices. I have a buddy in Detroit at a Western Star, Freightliner, and Ford dealer who is constantly telling me that they barely make any money off of consumer vehicles because of how deep they discount them.

I had a salesman swear up and down that this wasn't the way it worked.

My biggest issue with buying a truck is finding what I need. I must have all the towing stuff. When I find that, I usually end up paying for all kind of extras I neither want, nor need.

A salesmen saying that more volume =\= cost savings? Boy, I bet he really kills it out there.
