We had a bunch of birds till that little cool front came last week. For the first time I can remember I did not pull the trigger on opening date. Sit there till about 5:30 might have been some latter but it was disappointing.

No pics but limit by 245 in one of the worst spots of the field. Nw la. Tons of birds. Most people like the guys I usually hunt with still start at noon not daylight.

your not alone freeman, had em located before the opening near Anadarko OK, poof, no where to be found opening morning...disappeared like a fart in the wind...

our group of 20 vets killed 12-15 ALL day, first time in my life I didn't pop a cap in the morning, killed ONE on six LONG shots in the afternoon

rballa19, where did you hunt? I've located some birds this afternoon late in southwest of OKC, looking to connect with folks from LA

Did not shoot at a bird . I think there were 6 killed between 20 or so people. Just an awful year for the field. It got cut before it seeded (landowner bailed hay and had his guy cut it), plus there were no birds in the area according to reports. I unloaded my gun about halfway through and proceeded to clean out the cooler.

I hunted near Gracemont, OK, with a guide service. Killed 15 between 6 of us. They thought a filed of black-eyed susans was a "sunflower field". Lol. Never hunting with them again, but had a good time with the guys who went.

We didn't hear another shot all morning and didn't miss many birds either.
