If anyone wants to buy a Saker 7.62, I can offer you a pretty insane price on one. I bought one direct through SiCo a while back and decided I want to go with the Omega or the TBAC Uktra 7 instead. I haven't sent off the Form 4 yet and it is at Bowie's in BR. I will sell the can for $850 if anyone is interested. Let me know.

Checking in. Finally got an AR and what a hell of a deal. Bought two Stag Arms Model 3 tactical. One for me and the wife. $500 off each one because of an someone posted the wrong price on the stores website.

Looking for some solid advice, and I know you guys are the best to ask...
I've finally decided to get my own AR (been using my dad's every time we go, literally, shoot the shite. I want to customize it any way I want, and sight it in for me (and not use someone else's setup). I would primarily use it for hunting (hogs) and recreation.
What do you guys recommend? Looking to keep it around $1000, and less would be ideal...
ETA: what brands should I stay away from, gravitate to, etc? I would hate to get the civilian version of the M16

Colt LE6920. You might could get a used Daniel Defense. Also Smith&Wesson makes good ARs.

For around $1000, definitely look at BCM. Very good quality and around that price point

Oops, yeah, forgot that. BCM is the best around that range. It may be a little bit more but the quality justifies the price.

Does anyone have a buffer recommendation? Looking at a Spike's Tactical but I'm not sure what weight to get.

BCM and Daniel Defense have similar MSRPs on their guns and I would get either of those over a Sig. That said, the Sig is not a bad rifle.
