Alright, let me know when you want to go shoot, might be able to sneak you onto the pd range. It is a lot closer.

meh, its a DPMS.

there are 2 crowds when it comes to DPMS

1. Stay away from them as they have had more than their share of bad pr from quality control issues. (i had a friend last week who told me he ordered an LPK from them and it was missing the FCG trigger pins )

2. the "I've shot 18,645 rounds through mine with zero issues!!" guys

no personal experience here, as i have read enough bad to keep me away.

but that is definitely a cheap price for a complete AR.

Ok. I have a badge if that matters.

And I also have some property here we can shoot at.

Smith & Wesson also has a gun out for that price that I've read plenty reviews and watched videos on. Supposedly it's very reliable, not fancy but a solid gun. Anyone here have experience with this?

I never believe those guys, give me some real data with rounds shot like the filthy 14 rifles that Pat Rogers ran through the ringer.

DPMS's QC is supposed to be getting better on their rifles. The only DPMS product I own is a bare 308 upper receiver (low rail). Quality is great and finish is as well.

I can get a blemished Anderson lower for $75. Is this something I should look at and stick in a closet for a while?

Take a look at these Aero's @ $65. They are blemished, but I hear it's hardly noticeable. I think they are a solid looking lower, and Aero is quality. Buy a few and put in the safe (or closet)

I'm at 104 days with my form 1. It started out @ 3 months, but is slowly getting longer. I'd say 4 months now. But, still....that's quick.

I've got my 8.2" in the safe right now. Need an upper and a trying to pick out the right stock. I have a B5 on my 16" that I like a lot. Probably going to go that route.

The SOPMOD's are one of my favorites, love that cheek weld. If that's a big selling point for you on them as well, the EMOD has the same cheek weld but a much nicer pad and a little more storage. Just something to check out

Actually it will be the B5 or the EMOD
