he should be in recovery by now enjoying the effects of versed and a narcotic PCA.
Its a high/drunk few get to experience legally. Hope he is enjoying the ride ( not that he will remember it though) lol

It could be... depends on the amount of tongue they remove. If they remove a large amount of his tongue the reconstruction will entail a bit more time.

I make no jokes about the cancer . It's all done for a little internet humor.I know sometimes it's hard to judge what people mean from just words typed. I mean no disrespect having a dad who just about died last year from cancer.

Just heard from some family at the hospital and the surgery is going as planned. Originally it was to be a 6 hr surgery so he should be finished around 1 if everything stays on track.

Small world - he has been on our prayer list in Sunday School since they found out. Did not know him as an OBer until I read the update and got one from family in class as well. Probably a lot of folks we all know both on and off the OB and just dont put it together.

I just heard from Mrs Wales. The surgery is indeed going as planned and nothing else to report yet.

Original planned surgery is 6 hours. With a possible risk of it turning into a 12 hour.
