His surgery is scheduled for 0700.

Everybody say a prayer for him then.

Thanks for the thoughts and prayers fellas. I'm ready to get this thing done tomorrow. The pain and sensitivity has really increased over the past couple days.

All CT scans, PET scans, and MRIs done in the last 7 days all show it contained to my tongue. No cancer anywhere else. They are removing the tumor from the side of my tongue as well as removing my lymph nodes on the right side as a precautionary measure.

I'm not looking forward to the recovery period but I am ready to get this painful sonofabitch off my tongue.

I've mentioned this before, but I will say it again, I am a healthy 34 yr old that doesn't dip or smoke. Pretty much no risk factors other than drinking. So fellas, if something doesn't seem right, get to the doctor and get it checked out. I'm glad I did and caught it early before it had a chance to spread.

10 mg of Hydrocodone and 10 mg of Ambien say otherwise.

When you first told me, I really thought you were joking. I had that like last on my differential because you have basically zero risk factors. I feel like a jackass now.

ETA: of course, it wouldn't be the first time I've seen someone with zero risk factors get a disease they shouldn't.

Don't feel bad. Everybody but me said it wasn't tongue cancer.

Me and Dr. Google had it pegged.

Well, that's the first time I've ever seen Dr. Google get it right.

shite, man...with all of the crap you have dealt with lately, I just took it for granted that you were a lot older than that...thanks for the public service announcement...
