If someone gives me an email who can post pictures, I will send some. Start a new thread and I will update with body count.

Sounds like they took the "unlimited" part as a challenge.

I've got guys apologizing to me saying: I'll stop if you want me to. I feel bad about shooting this many deer.

And I'm like: Does it look like we're running out of deer?...Well, no.

Keep shooting....

I'm pretty clueless when it comes to this kind of stuff. What is this achieving versus leaving these 20-30 does to breed one more year. Educate me please

Carrying capacity of the land. You want to keep the buck to doe ratio at a good level and not over populate the herd in either direction. Does need to be killed. The old adage was to let the does walk. Less does means the buck roam more during the rut for pussy.

So what's a good buck to doe ratio?

I sure wish I wouldv'e read this thread earlier. This sounds like a blast, I already hunt in Utica and have killed a pile of deer this year and a few mounts, but boy this sounds like a blast.

It all depends on the property/ vegetation available. I've often heard that that you want 1 buck to 4 does in the herd for ideal CC.

NoColors stated he needed to killed 50 or so does this season at the start of this thread. Some biologist performed a study and determined the ration of bucks to does with respect to the available vegetation in determining this number.

Let me know if you want to work out something for the hogs on Sunday. I have plenty of deer meat but would love to slay some hogs.

I live about 40 minutes from Port Gibson and am flexible this weekend.
