Just as my dad would always want me to kill the deer, turkey, squirrel, rabbit or whatever we were hunting - I would rather see my son get a kill than take the animal myself.
I would not take him out of school, you want him to always know the importance of school. I would plan to be there Saturday morning and have him hunt all day if need be.

Well it turns out we will not be hunting in the morning and it will have to wait til saturday

My daughter used to say the same thing. She's 13 now and her now she says "if it's brown it's down!". So there is still hope. My wife hunts too, so it helps that mommy hunts.

A friend had an orphaned calf and while I was working this evening the friend brought it to my house and sold it to my son. So he now has to feed it before school. It waa pretty good buy he said he owed the guy 2 cokes and a bag of pork rinds
