I have an A300 and love it. I've run at least 1000 shells through it and never had a problem.

Aren't all three of those companies owned by Beretta?

I know very little about the Franchi or Stoeger. With that being said the A300 is supposed to be pretty bullet proof.

Didn't read other post but I would lean toward the two that aren't the Stoeger, but that's just based on the reviews of those manufacturers versus not having seen reviews on the Stoeger.

Personal experience the Remington 870 Express Super Mag will jam more than any of the autos you listed. Chitty finish and machining.

ETA: For 12 year old I'd probably do A300 for less recoil.

I've got the m3000. Had some issues with the extractor put of the box. Sent it back to stoeger and haven't had an issue since. I usually shoot extremely well with it, granted this past dove hunt/skeet shoot was embarrassing. But I'm blaming that on the beer.

Purely because of the one issue, I'd probably look at the a300 first as it was a pretty big pain to be without a gun for the first 3 weeks of duck season, but otherwise I don't know anyone whose had issues.
