All the shops are full up. 2003 OX66 200 HP.

I've done all i can do to it. Changed all 3 low pressure pumps out, checked and cleaned high pressure pump and screen. Motor will just crank up and die many many times. Then all of a sudden it will crank up and run fine. Topped out at 53 the other day in the 22' Skeeter with 4 adults on board.

Kill the motor and it seriously takes like 10 minutes to get it running again. This is on the hose or in the water.

I'm done with it.

Cajun Outboards.

I had similar problems w'a 150 and Boats Unlimited had three strikes, initial trip after third time in shop for same problem my throttle linkage came undone in the Intracoastal. Luckily I found the loose screw sitting in the pan by the block. Ran fine for two GI trips, third trip to False River same problem, dropped it off at Cajun and it's ran fine ever since.

There are many posts on this engine on thehulltruth.com. There are several fuel filters on that engine that a lot of people don't know about. If you aren't mechanically inclined and don't feel up to the challenge, Cajun Outboards would be our recommendation.

I appreciate the input. As I've said I've changed out all 3 low pressure pumps, cleaned screen on high pressure pump, cleaned the 02 sensor in seafoam, removed air baffle box, disconnected the yellow wire from the power pack (puts motor in base 8 degrees timing mode).

Damn thing still Will not stay running. What's the toughest is that it's erratic. Once running it will run just fine. No excess smoke, planes out hard and tops out very good.
Does not at all sound like a fuel delivery issue.
It was having a fuel delivery issue several months ago. It would fall flat on its face like you just ran over a sandbar. We corrected that issue with the new pumps. Now we're dealing with this new issue. Even tested fuel pressure at the Schrader valve. It was at 35 psi idling.

ASE certified master tech. Have messed with many carburetor outboards. This one has me stumped.

Plus one on the Hull Truth website. They have tons of info there. Would definitely recommend browsing their site if you have never visited it before.

There search function sucks though so I would use google to search for anything there with The Hull Truth inserted at the end of whatever you are searching for.

Man, that seems like it could be electrical or computer related.

Something getting hot and opening up, intermittently.

Always tough to fix...

There is a bleed right above the HP fuel pump. Make sure she squirts gas out at high pressure when the key is on but not running. Buddy had that problem a few weeks ago on a 225 0x66. That's all I got.

That isn't a bleed. That's a Schrader to check fuel pressure

MJ, is there any way to test the 02 sensor when it's cold and then hot?

(VDC, I assume)

man, that's tough. I always use scanners to watch properly switching o2 sensors on cars. This motor doesn't support scanners.
