Just verified the hp pump is losing voltage once the motor cranks up. Goes from 9 volts to 0 then motor dies. We're on the right track. Need to find out what killing lower to the relay or if it's the relay itself losing power or ground.
Thanks for all the help fellas.

Wahlah ........ Now mine had nearly 4000 hours on it but the relay itself can and will act like that until it finally goes completely out. Thats that best I can do because from there it is over my head.

quote:The issue was very intermitent to start. It started when the boat was in Destin(very salty water) and kept on the water in a slip for a week. Got boat back home and it started to do this more and more random. Several water tests(in Lake Maurepas) and it started getting more frequent.Last outting we didn't think it was ever going to crank back up(we were in Lake Pontchartrain at North pass) but when it finally did we went balls to the walls all the way back to the Manchac public launch. We had 4 adults on board and full tank of fuel and boat did 52-53mph all the way back. Not even one hiccup.
Wahlah
I'm going back to the boat today with a meter to ohm out and check voltages in and around the relay to see if it is just cutting out or if something in the system is turning it off. I know those high pressure pumps are only supposed to be pulling 5 amps. Anymore and the ECU will shut off the ground to the pump.
We're gonna whip this thing before to long.
