I posted this on the Destin Cobia thread but I figured it deserves its own. Caught two weeks ago out of grand isle.

Yes, nice hoist on the Ling.

The only fish that has as many names as the White Perch.

damn yats questioning the size of a fish ....

What did your dad catch it on? What kind of rod? based on fishing from a bay boat Im thinking it was a TLD... I bet dad has a story on fighting and landing the fish

Very nice fish, but I agree. May be shy 100lbs. This is a 105 lb cobia.

Could have been 300lbs if he'd just hung it up and stood 12 feet behind it. Poor hoisting. Nice fishing though.

Thats a nice one there.

I was thinking the OP was more 70 but I tend not to worry about weights and what people guess. The sweet part is his pops caught a nice lemonfish around GI.

Ive seen a couple monster spearfishing that I didnt feel comfortable shooting. Its amazing how nosey they are. Tap on your bottle or the rig with your gun and here they come.
