Nice gun. I don't know much about guns. Only know of a few people whose Glocks were flooded in Katrina and never had any issues after with them. I have a G30 (.45) that I keep in my truck. I don't shoot often so just wanted something that I know I could count on when I needed it. I signed up for a CC class right after the new year and are going to get either the 26 or 27 to carry.

Agreed. Why have the permit but not carry? I have to find a holster or "pouch" that is comfortable for me. Any suggestions?

I have a CDL, but sometimes I don't drive.

Pouches are everywhere. Just google.

I just got a 26 as well. Gun shoots great and the pinky mag extension makes a huge difference. Get some Talon rubber grips and you'll be ready to go with a good holster. I usually EDC a Glock 19, I figured the 26 would be a little easier to conceal/carry if I appendix carry it in the summer time.

Also, consider adding the large beaver tail back strap to the gun. It really makes a difference when drawing the gun from a concealed holster. It will keep the web of your hand between your index and thumb from getting struck by the slide when firing.

For the safety of yourself and others, please get yourself a holster. And for anyone else here that carries w/o a holster, please get a holster. If you're not going to use a holster, at least use a trigger block of some sort.

That is far to dangerous for me. I value having the trigger covered while holstered.

My EDC (Every Day Carry) is a G27 (.40) and I have an Alien Gear Cloak 3.0 IWB holster. I like it between my back pocket and my side.

I realize most prefer a holster...I do not.

My main point was carrying it behind the hip. Real comfortable and makes for a real easy and concealable draw.

Early in my career, I carried in the small of my back but working from it on the range I realized the draw was a little harder to keep from getting the shirt caught in my grip.

HYOH, however that is a little more dangerous.

You are team Glock or you are not. But if you are not. Like me. Just sit quietly and say "nice gun" cause you can't make an intelligent argument against them.

I have when running....its ok but it sits higher so its more difficult to draw.

Ankle gun is another hard draw. Its easier seated but still not ideal due to pants leg being as easy to maneuver. (And people will look at you funny when wearing shorts. LOL)

Have you tried behind your hip above/behind your backpocket? What are you carrying?

I can wear my Glock 43 there all day very comfortably.

Belly band or small of back is probably your best bet then.

IMHO, an ankle holster is good for a backup but I don't like it for your primary weapon.....but its better than nothing.

My husband just got a belly band and he LOVES it better than any of his nice holsters. Says it is super comfortable and holds you gun nice and tight against your body. Strongly recommended by him.
Daltech Force is the brand.

I'm thinking about going to one too.
