My Christmas Present. To myself. First CC gun.

I have some rifles and a shotgun. Been wanting to take a CC class. Just needed the handgun.
Glock M26 9mm came with 2 mags and the speed loader. bought the extended pinky mag separately.
Can't wait to get out to the range and shoot it. Anyone have any tips on what I should expect with the Glock?

Nice. Now take the class and please carry it. So many people have a permit but do not carry. I don't get that.

Agreed. Why have the permit but not carry? I have to find a holster or "pouch" that is comfortable for me. Any suggestions?

Just my preference ( assuming you'll carry IWB), I much prefer a singlestick. Clocks (the doublestacks) are just to thick for my liking to IWB. I also hate a pistol I can't get my pinky on the grip, so the extended mag would be a must. I shot my friends I think 27 (the .40 version of that gun), and although I know a .40 is more snappy than a 9, it was very uncomfortable to shoot without a pinky extension.
On the other hand, it's a glock, so it's going to go bang every time, which is the most important feature of a gun meant to defense, and because it's a 9 will retain it's value well.

That's a sweet looking pistol. I've been wanting another Glock

I carry mine in my purse. In winter, I use a clip holster or put it in my inside jacket pocket.

OK so I also got my gf a Ruger LCP9s it is much thinner and lighter. So I get what you mean on the thickness. Def a more friendly CC gun. She picked it out and everything.
Also im a little gun illiterate so idk what those acronyms mean.
The pinky mag was a must buy for me. Didn't even have to think twice although ppl there (customers) said it wasn't horrible shooting it without the pinky ext it just felt weird to me.

Ah haha OK yeah that won't help me much. I did get my gf a Ruger LCP9s she doesn't want to give up her Louie tho lol. But the gun is light and small enough to put in the purse.

IWB = Inside the Waist Band
It refers to a holster that is designed to be clipped to your belt, but the gun and holster are positioned inside your waist band. This is easier to conceal, but you need to make sure you do your research to find the right fit for you.

Same here, and fixing to renew

But you first have to make the decision where you want to carry. Appendix or behind. The hip. If behind the hip most ppl will buy some type of Hybrid like a crossbreed. If appendix get something like an eidolon or incog

Anyone ever try urban carry?
Posted on 12/22/16 at 6:04 pm to Timmayy
It seemed a good bit bigger

It is with a good bit bigger when your not carrying with the pinky extension. The pinky extension puts it to be the same size except one inch longer in the barrel. you will find barrel length does very little to affect carryability versus width and grip length

I prefer behind the hip just above my wallet. No holster just tucked IWB.
Real comfortable and easy to conceal your draw.
