Whereabouts in Evangeline? That's my neck of the woods.

LC

LC don't know where this one was killed but we have at least one in our neck of the woods. We saw it on our lease last season

Don't believe everything you read on Facebook bud.

If you don't "like" a picture of Jesus he's not gonna come down and hit you with a lightning bolt either.

Do people dismiss these types of claims bc they think these cats don't exist in LA?

I don't know about LA but in Alabama every redneck has seen or knows someone who has seen a mountain lion. Or has heard the "woman screaming " sound. I swear either Big Cats in Alabama are immortal or when they die the vanish like a fricking video game. There are none in Alabama. End of story.

From the outdoor Alabama website

There have not been any confirmed reports by trail cameras, road kills, traditional photography, or hunter-harvested specimens since 1948.

You're right, shouldn't believe everything on FB. I suppose I should have done a little research before posting the pic, the guy is obviously full of shite. Sorry about the misleading post guys.

A few have been proven in LA over last decade..

a threat to his family.. with all the deer, hogs and stray dogs in evangeline parish that part is more laughable than anything else..

unless it was a released pet that was going to people expecting to be fed

How many trail cameras do OB members have? How many pics of mountain lions does the OB membership have that THEY took. I am not talking about their friends' friends, their long lost relatives, or "this guy I know on facebook".

I have 5 cameras out at all times in Winn and Jackson Parish. I have never had a pic of a big cat.

Well, obviously since YOUR camera has never picked up the image of a mountain lion / jaguar / panther, then they either don't exist or it's some kind of conspiracy by the cats........sheesh.
