With Summer approaching, the busy water ways will have Green Jeans out checking for some or all of this stuff. Make sure you are legal...

Since when are you required to wear a life jacket while underway on a < 16ft boat?

Wow, I didn't know that. Mine is 17'.

But, as far as being USCG legal, it's all stuff you should have regardless.

LDWF not showing any love to the over 26' crowd
I need to replace my electric horn though as having to rely on a shitty air horn in the leaning post sucks. Just purchased and registered an epirb as well

Me too, I keep an air horn and wistle under the seat just in case. Even when the electric horn was working I had both of those. Never hurts to have a back up plan.

ETA: Always let someone know where you are going out, well, not exactly where but you know what I mean. Too many people get in water they cant handle and SHTF, no one knows where to start looking.

Can someone clarify, I thought kids had to have a life jacket on at all times in a boat under power or not. Reading that it appears only when under power. Mine will wear theirs all times anyway but curious.

1. Beer
2. Smokes
3. Music (or Walton & Johnson)

That's all I need.

lack of this should be a ticketable offense.

If I wanted to hear 4 hours of bitching and complaining about shite I have no control over I would have brought my wife in the boat with me.

My experience with having backups of important items:
Two is one, and one is none.
