Think his had some custom hand rails installed and some bungs welded to the hull for a cajun anchor to go through(pretty cool idea).

After pricing everything out from Gator Tail, 18K is not a bad deal at all. Boat/motor only has 14hrs. Coastline duel axle trailer is worth a couple grand as well. It's a slick rig with custom built leaning post, ice chest holders, gas tank! Worth it to me and in the end, thats all that I care about!

17ft & will top out around 33mph with two guys & gear.

I have heard that surface drives do not handle thick water lilly's very well. Can someone comment on this from experience?

The only boat in my experience that handles water lillys well is a mud boat with high horsepower.
